Job description

Leidos is looking for a passionate Systems Engineer with hands-on experience in the TMPC Mission Distribution System (MDS) and the Weapons Control System. If you excel in the Systems Engineering Process and thrive on clear, effective communication, we want you on our team. Your knack for developing robust software test plans and navigating rigorous testing processes will directly impact future-forward defense solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate and Innovate: Join a seasoned team of Systems Engineers and work closely to scrutinize requirements and execute test modifications, ensuring every detail aligns with meticulously defined standards.

  • Own the Testing Cycle: From designing and developing software tests to troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancing mission-critical systems, you'll be an integral part of the quality assurance process throughout the full testing life cycle.

  • Analyze and Evolve: Dive deep into software requirements analysis, evaluate hardware compatibility, and build comprehensive test procedures-all while applying industry-leading principles, standards, and the latest tools to drive our software-intensive products forward.

  • Operate in a DoD Environment: Bring your experience from DoD testing environments to bear, ensuring that every component of your work meets the high demands and rigorous quality expectations of defense technology.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience. Additional direct experience, training, or certification may substitute degree requirement.

  • US Citizen; current possess and active Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to Top Secret SCI security clearance.

  • Strong analytical skills with a knack for developing robust software test plans.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with 2+ years related experience.

  • Experience with the Tomahawk Weapon System and familiarity with the Valid Platform List will set you apart and help you quickly integrate into our cutting-edge projects.
