    Job description

    We are seeking a Remedial System Technician to join our Remedial Construction team. This role involves hands-on work with environmental remediation systems, supporting both operation and field implementation activities. Prior electrical and/ or plumbing experience a plus and we are willing to train the right candidate for this position.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate and maintain soil and groundwater remediation systems, including:
      • Soil vapor extraction
      • Air sparging
      • High vacuum/dual-phase extraction
      • Oxygen injection systems
      • Product recovery systems
    • Install, troubleshoot, and decommission remediation systems
    • Perform pilot testing and system performance evaluations
    • Conduct site inspections and routine maintenance
    • Collect soil and groundwater samples in accordance with project requirements
    • Test voltage with a voltmeter
    • Ensure safe operation of the company vehicle, equipment, and tools during the job. Includes maintaining a clean vehicle.
    • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
    • Completing tasks within time frames set by the Field Services Manager and Project Managers.
    • Submit completed work orders, timesheets and receipts daily or weekly, depending on work travel schedules.
    • Interact with courtesy and professionalism with client customers.

    Requirements

      • Minimum 3+ years of relevant field experience (plumbing and/ or electrical skills can translate to this type of work)
      • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot pumps and electronic controls
      • Valid New York State Driver’s License and be able to pass a criminal background check.
      • Must have a reliable form of transportation to get to and from work daily. Once at the office you will use a company vehicle to go to sites.
      • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (is a plus, will train the right candidate)
      • 10-hour Construction Safety certification (is a plus, will train the right candidate)
      • Travel is required, including overnights across NY currently.

    Salary Range: $23 - $28 per hour

    The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
