We are currently hiring for a Injection Molding Changeover & Processing Technician!

This is a full-time, on-site position at our Pro-Line facility in Banning, CA. Working hours are Monday-Thursday 11:45am PST-10:15pm PST

Typical pay for this position is $23-$25 per hour. The final offer for this position will be based on the unique experience and qualifications of the candidate selected. This position may also be eligible for a bonus not included in the base pay range.

The Injection Molding Changeover & Processing Technician is responsible for the setup, changeover, troubleshooting, process optimization, and maintenance of injection molding equipment that is used in the production of plastic and rubber components. This role ensures safe, efficient, and consistent manufacturing operations through proper machine setup, mold changes, process control, quality verification, and continuous improvement activities. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, technical problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with injection molding processes, tooling, auxiliary equipment, and manufacturing quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for hands on operation of injection molding machines, processing thermoplastic and thermoset (rubber) compounds
  • Performs mold changes and makes necessary adjustments and repairs on machinery
  • Monitors the molding machines and performs necessary setting adjustments
  • Completes repairs and preventative maintenance as required
  • Performs quality control checks to maintain quality standards (rubber and plastic)
  • Work alongside supporting production lead and machine operators to make sure all machines are running effectively
  • Water Chiller – Maintain water level and add chemical treatment when filling tank
  • Air Compressor – Monitor operation and report any problems
  • Vacuum Pump – Monitor operation. Change oil and filters as needed
  • Supply rubber to all tire machines and leave rubber up on machine for next shift
  • Supply Nylon and Kraton to all plastic machines
  • Keep material storage area clean and organized
  • Inspect and move all tire production boxes to staging area
  • Clean molds and store in proper location
  • Keep mold storage clean and organized
  • Perform mold changes on all rubber machines
  • Perform mold changes and start up production runs on all plastic machines
  • Keep production area clean and organized
  • Keep auxiliary equipment areas clean and organized
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on all production equipment
  • Weigh rubber scrap for operators on all machines
  • Empty trash and rubber scrap before end of shift
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and orderly manner
  • Perform all other duties as required or requested

Qualifications

  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment that utilizes injection molding for production of rubber or plastic parts
  • In-depth understanding of injection molding equipment that is responsible for processing rubber and plastic parts
  • Must have a technical and mechanical aptitude that will allow him to troubleshoot processing issues for rubber and plastic processing

Physical Requirements

  • Physically capable of lifting up to 70lbs from the ground level to hip height
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work overtime if needed
