HVAC Commercial Service Technician
Cincinnati, OH
$35–$47/hr DOE + Overtime Available

We are hiring an experienced HVAC Commercial Service Technician to service and repair large commercial HVAC systems throughout the Cincinnati area. If you have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with commercial equipment 50+ tons, and take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

As a Commercial HVAC Service Technician, you will:

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, and installations on commercial HVAC systems
  • Service DX equipment up to 100 tons and packaged AC units up to 150 tons
  • Repair rooftop units (RTUs), boilers, water source heat pumps, air handling systems, and control systems
  • Troubleshoot gas-fired and electric heating systems, pneumatic controls, and electronic controls
  • Start up newly installed HVAC equipment and verify proper operation
  • Perform preventative maintenance including cleaning coils, belts, filters, and duct systems
  • Adjust valves, pumps, and controls to maintain proper pressure, temperature, and fluid levels
  • Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding job status and service recommendations
  • Complete service documentation, parts usage, and daily reports accurately
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in service-ready condition

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC field experience
  • Experience servicing large commercial HVAC systems (50+ tons)
  • EPA Universal Certification required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • HVAC degree or equivalent hands-on experience preferred

  • Rooftop Units (RTUs)
  • Boilers
  • Chillers
  • Water Source Heat Pumps
  • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
  • Building Automation & Controls
  • Preventative Maintenance Programs
  • Commercial Mechanical Systems

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in mechanical rooms
  • Frequent standing, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and ladder work
