Job Summary:
Keylent Inc is seeking a Senior Associate for a Postgres and Oracle DBA role. The position requires strong experience in Postgres and intermediate experience in Oracle, with responsibilities including database management, performance tuning, and providing technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Postgres and Oracle DBA 5+ years of very strong experience on Postgres.
• Intermediate experience on Oracle an should be able to upskill on NoSQL in short duration.
• 5+ years experience working with Postgres Databases, including all aspects of installation/configuration, performance tuning, etc.
• Advanced understanding of Linux OS.
• Understand automation concept to speed up the work: ansible.
• Advanced knowledge on Postgres internals.
• Experience implementing high availability by setting up either streaming replication or logical replication and decoding.
• Optimize queries/schemas.
• Backup solutions and strategies.
• HA solutions and strategies.
• Ability to troubleshoot methodically, identifying and applying fixes for known errors, and when necessary, capacity to think outside of the box to resolve complex issues.
• Internals about VACCUM process - MVCC, Dead Tuple and Bloat, Auto Vaccum Parameters etc.
• Development DBA with Oracle skills.
• Developing and reviewing database functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
• Developing and reviewing SQL queries to support application development.
• Providing database solutions based on technical documents and business requirements.
• Preparing documentations regarding database design, configuration and change management tasks.
• Providing technical assistance to resolve all database issues related to performance, capacity, security and access.
• Identifying and rectifying database errors in a timely manner.
• Ensuring data integrity and quality in database systems and maintaining standard policies for database development activities.
• Managing and monitoring performance, capacity, and security of database systems.
Qualifications:
