District Manager - Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) / Clinical Engineering
Position Summary
Our client is seeking a District Manager of Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) / Clinical Engineering to serve as the Executive Director supporting a large, multi-site academic health system in the Cleveland, Ohio region.
This executive-level role holds full accountability for strategic leadership, operational performance, financial oversight, regulatory compliance, and client relationship management across a complex healthcare environment. The District Manager will lead healthcare technology management services across multiple facilities and ensure delivery excellence that is predictable, reliable, and repeatable.
This position serves as the primary executive contact for the health system and is responsible for driving operational, financial, and strategic success.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Leadership and Client Partnership
โ€ข Serve as the senior executive leader and primary point of contact for the client health system
โ€ข Develop and maintain strong executive-level relationships and governance structures
โ€ข Ensure consistent delivery of contractual obligations and service commitments
โ€ข Communicate performance metrics, financial outcomes, and strategic initiatives to client leadership
Strategic Growth and Business Performance
โ€ข Develop and execute regional strategy to drive business growth and operational excellence
โ€ข Identify financial risks and opportunities; develop and implement action plans accordingly
โ€ข Drive measurable performance improvements across healthcare technology management operations
โ€ข Lead initiatives to enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction
Operational and Financial Oversight
โ€ข Maintain full accountability for budget management and financial performance
โ€ข Review operational and financial reports to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards
โ€ข Ensure consistent execution of policies, procedures, and contractual service levels
โ€ข Oversee multi-site HTM operations within a complex academic health system environment
Leadership and Talent Development
โ€ข Lead and develop a diverse, high-performing workforce
โ€ข Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives
โ€ข Coach and mentor leaders across multiple organizational levels
โ€ข Build and sustain a team with broad technical and operational expertise
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management
โ€ข Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
โ€ข Enforce all safety programs and promote a culture of workplace safety
โ€ข Review and maintain documentation to support regulatory audits and compliance reviews
โ€ข Assess cybersecurity risks impacting healthcare technology infrastructure and support protective strategies
Healthcare Technology Management Oversight
โ€ข Provide strategic direction for clinical engineering and HTM services
โ€ข Ensure equipment lifecycle management, asset reliability, and technology optimization
โ€ข Promote continuous improvement in service delivery and operational processes
Required Qualifications
Education
โ€ข Bachelor's degree required; equivalent experience may be considered
Experience
โ€ข Minimum of 7 years of management experience
โ€ข Minimum of 7 years of functional experience in Healthcare Technology Management
โ€ข Demonstrated leadership experience within a large healthcare or academic medical center environment
Industry Expertise
โ€ข Proven success leading HTM or Clinical Engineering operations in complex healthcare systems
โ€ข Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements and compliance standards
โ€ข Working knowledge of cybersecurity risks and mitigation strategies within healthcare environments
Leadership and Business Competencies
โ€ข Exceptional executive presence and client relationship management skills
โ€ข Strong business acumen and financial management proficiency
โ€ข Ability to assess operational and financial performance and drive corrective actions
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to lead multi-site operations with measurable results
