Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced  Full Stack Java Developer for a  5-month onsite contract in Jersey City, NJ, with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Java application development, microservices, cloud deployment (Kubernetes or AWS), and DevOps practices. This role involves building scalable systems, optimizing performance, and ensuring seamless deployment and operation in cloud-native environments.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust  Java-based applications across front-end and back-end.
  • Build scalable  microservices and  RESTful APIs using modern Java frameworks.
  • Deploy, monitor, and manage applications in  Kubernetes or  AWS environments.
  • Implement and maintain DevOps pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and related tools.
  • Ensure code quality, automation, and reliability through  CI/CD best practices.
  • Troubleshoot application and production issues, including participation in on-call rotations as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on requirements gathering and solution design.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and adherence to security standards.
  • Document technical solutions and actively participate in code reviews.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies to support continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in  Full Stack Java development, including front-end and back-end components.
  • Proficiency with  Java frameworks for microservices and REST API development.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or AWS cloud services for application deployment and orchestration.
  • Solid understanding of  DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and support on-call activities when required.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization, scalability considerations, and secure coding practices.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
