About Us:

Inizio Evoke Comms is a global, award-winning health communications agency that partners with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medtech, consumer, and non-profit clients. We deliver insights-driven public relations campaigns, policy programs, and initiatives that advance health and wellbeing around the world.

We are looking for a Media Realtions Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for maintaining and running multiple projects across accounts, playing an active role from planning to seamless implementation. You will develop strategic media plans for clients in partnership with the account lead and craft overarching communications tactics to allow clients to meet their goals. Additionally, you will sell through media relations work for existing and new clients.

This is a remote role reporting to a Senior Vice President, Media Relations.

You Will:

Client Partnership

  • Manage all aspects of media project timelines and deliverables
  • Interact with clients; regarded by the client as the media point person on their accounts
  • Interpret, develop, and manage clients' media strategy; demonstrate understanding of the strategic issues and big picture
  • Demonstrate expertise in using AI in creating deliverables and analyzing media trends, identifying opportunities, and optimizing media outreach strategies for maximum impact
  • Provide strategic media counsel during client meetings/calls

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Tackles tough challenges or problems quickly
  • Build and maintain relationships internally and externally (clients and journalists)
  • Be recognized by peers and management for their consistent and proactive contributions to the team
  • Demonstrate genuine interest and empathy when listening to others
  • Seamlessly flex between teams and management styles

Effective Communication

  • Articulate a client's story confidently and accurately
  • Integrate information from a variety of sources into one comprehensive and compelling story or deliverable

Business Development

You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, marketing, business or health / science related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in public relations and communications; health or pharma communications experience required
  • Experience in media relations including pitching reporters, creating media lists, etc.
  • Experience in highly scientific therapy areas including but not limited to, oncology, rare disease, and neuroscience
  • Understanding of Inizio Evoke Communications' missions and values and a commitment to the growth and success of the company
  • Experience driving current or new business growth
  • Passion for improving lives through innovations in health
  • A good understanding of current issues in domestic and global health
