About the Position
We are seeking a highly capable IT professional who can operate as a technical lead and right-hand resource to the Director of IT.
This role goes beyond traditional helpdesk support, you will be deeply involved in business-critical systems, including ERP (VIP), EDI integrations, and operational workflows across warehouse, finance, and sales systems.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical troubleshooting skills with a working understanding of accounting processes, inventory systems, and EDI workflows, enabling them to bridge the gap between IT and the business.
Work Hours and Location:
- Candidates must have weekend availability throughout the year as a part of their regular schedule, as occasional weekend shifts are an essential aspect of this position. Flexibility to work additional hours, including holidays, may also be required based on the needs of the business.
- This position will be working out of Big Geyser’s office located in Edgewood, NY
Position Overview
- Technical Support & Operations: Provide advanced troubleshooting across end-user devices (laptops, mobile devices), warehouse technology (RF scanners, mobile printers, iPads), and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, etc.). Act as escalation point for complex helpdesk issues. Coordinate with MSP and vendors for infrastructure-related issues.
- Business Systems Support: Support and troubleshoot ERP system (VIP) and related integrations. Assist with EDI processes including transaction failures, mapping issues, and vendor coordination. Investigate data discrepancies and reporting issues. Support SQL/reporting outputs and system-driven processes.
- Process & Operational Alignment: Work directly with departments (Finance, Operations, Sales) to diagnose system/process issues, identify inefficiencies, and recommend practical solutions. Translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Project & Initiative Support: Assist in system implementations and upgrades. Participate in IT projects (automation, reporting, integrations). Help build structure within the ticketing system (categorization, workflows, SLAs).
- Leadership & Partnership: Serve as a trusted second-in-command to the IT Director. Help prioritize workload and manage competing demands. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior support staff.
- System Support: Maintain and troubleshoot IT systems used in warehouse operations, order processing, inventory management, and delivery scheduling.

- Supply Chain IT Integration: Work with supply chain operations to ensure technology supports efficient beverage distribution, from sourcing to delivery Indeed.
- Data & Analytics: Gather and analyze operational data to improve distribution network performance and reduce costs Indeed.
- Vendor & Partner Support: Coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to resolve IT-related issues impacting beverage distribution.
What we are looking for in the ideal candidate
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or similar role
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and business systems
- Experience supporting ERP systems (VIP or similar)
- Working knowledge of accounting processes (AP/AR, invoicing, financial workflows), inventory and warehouse systems, and EDI transactions and integrations
- Experience with Microsoft 365 environment
- Ability to diagnose both technical and process-driven issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in distribution, logistics, or warehouse environments
- Exposure to SQL or reporting tools
- Experience working with external vendors (EDI providers, MSPs)
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (Zendesk, ServiceDesk Plus, etc.)
