Senior Brand Manager 

Location: Schaumburg, IL 

Salary: $160,000- $170,000 

Hybrid Schedule, Bonus, PTO, 401(k) Match, Health, Dental, Vision

We are looking for a Senior Brand Manager to help lead the strategy, growth, and continued success of a portfolio of well-known candy brands. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and creative marketing professional to make a direct impact on products consumers know and love. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Lead new item development from concept through launch, including R&D briefs, pricing, packaging, forecasting, and timelines.  
• Identify consumer, shopper, and market insights that inform new product development and portfolio expansion.  
• Coordinate cross-functional new item meetings and partner with Sales, R&D, Innovation, Design, and Procurement to bring products to market.  
• Develop customer sell-in decks and serve as the product expert during key retail presentations.  
• Manage marketing budgets and develop shopper marketing plans with key retail customers and agency partners.  
• Lead in-store marketing initiatives, including shelf talkers, box talkers, displays, trays, shelf strips, and demonstrations.  
• Lead at-home marketing programs, including digital coupons, retailer offers, and direct mail campaigns.  
• Manage online marketing initiatives, including search and display advertising, while ensuring accurate product content across retail platforms.  
• Oversee approved social and digital content initiatives and measure marketing performance.  
• Manage product assortment and discontinuations to support profitability, category velocity, and overall portfolio performance.  
• Monitor competitive activity, pricing, packaging, and category trends using data sources to identify growth opportunities.  
• Build and manage annual volume plans while identifying cost savings, improving processes, and supporting accurate demand and procurement forecasting 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Marketing, or related field preferred. MBA preferred.  
• 3–5+ years of brand management experience within CPG; food CPG experience strongly preferred.  
• Proven experience building or scaling a brand or category.  
• Strong strategic thinker with the ability to turn insights and ideas into action.  
• Comfortable operating in competitive, fast-paced environments.  
• Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. 
• Ability to travel 20–25%.
