    Job description

    What if your next role gave you the opportunity to shape the bridges and structures that keep communities connected every day?

    At HR Green, you will play a key role in delivering complex bridge and transportation structure projects that support how people and goods move safely and efficiently.

    This role, based in St. Louis, offers the opportunity to lead high-impact structural projects, influence technical direction, and expand your leadership while staying close to the engineering work.

    You will be part of a collaborative team where mentorship, development, and technical excellence are part of the day-to-day. You will have the opportunity to guide junior engineers, strengthen client relationships, and help shape the future of our structural practice.

    What You Will Be Doing

    • Lead the analysis and design of bridges and transportation structures including highway and railroad overpasses, culverts, and pedestrian bridges

    • Develop rehabilitation strategies for existing structures

    • Prepare calculations, specifications, reports, and plan sets and support projects through construction

    • Take ownership of project scope, budgets, and schedules to meet client expectations

    • Establish and refine structural design standards and best practices

    • Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and CAD staff

    • Perform quality reviews to ensure accuracy, safety, and constructability

    • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated project solutions

    • Support proposals, client development, and project pursuits

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

    • Professional Engineer (PE) license (MUST HAVE)

    • Approximately 8 or more years of structural or bridge engineering experience

    • Experience delivering bridge projects from concept through final design

    • Proficiency with tools such as OpenBridge, STAAD, MIDAS, MDX, or similar

    • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound engineering judgment
