    Job description

Group 1001 is a consumer-centric, technology-driven family of insurance companies on a mission to deliver outstanding value and operational performance by combining financial strength and stability with deep insurance expertise and a can-do culture. Group1001's culture emphasizes the importance of collaboration, communication, core business focus, risk management, and striving for outcomes. This goal extends to how we hire and onboard our most valuable assets - our employees.
    Why This Role Matters:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a summer intern in our Annuity Sales Distribution. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of Financial Services, specifically working on investigating and documenting findings to support new corporate distribution channels, CRM-related activities, and relationship management.
This is a hybrid internship based out of our Zionsville headquarters, approximately 15-20 hours per week.
    How You'll Contribute:
    • Inbound Team Support - Partner with the Inbound Sales team to manage queue follow-up, maintain CRM records, and track daily activity, ensuring every prospect interaction is captured accurately and no opportunity is missed.
    • Salesforce & Data Integrity - Own the accuracy of pipeline records and Salesforce data, driving clean-up efforts that power reliable reporting, territory analytics, and forecasting for the broader Distribution team.
    • Event Coordination & Follow-Up - Support the planning, attendance, and execution of key company and territory events, coordinating with wholesalers and the Sales Desk on pre-event preparation and post-event follow-through to maximize event ROI.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Contribute to projects and meetings that span Product Marketing, Product Development, Relationship Management, Sales Enablement, and Digital Marketing, gaining broad exposure to how a modern distribution organization operates.
    • Market Research & Knowledge Management - Monitor competitor annuity products, distribution trends, and regulatory developments, and document Sales Desk workflows and playbooks that streamline onboarding for future team members.

    What We're Looking For:
    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program with a focus on Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Undergraduate students who are entering their junior or senior year.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Basic understanding of sales principles and a keen interest in the Financial Services Industry is a plus.

    Benefits Highlights:
Employees who meet benefit eligibility guidelines and work 30 hours or more weekly, have the ability to enroll in Group 1001's benefits package. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the Company's comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plan options.
