    Position Overview
    Greenville ISD is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for Crockett Elementary. This position plays a key role in supporting daily campus operations by welcoming visitors, assisting students and parents, and providing clerical support in a busy elementary school environment.
    Primary Purpose
    Provide front office reception and clerical support to ensure efficient campus operations while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for students, staff, parents, and visitors.
    Qualifications
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Office or clerical experience preferred
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to operate a multi-line phone system and standard office equipment
    • Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment
    Major Responsibilities and Duties
    Front Desk & Communication
    • Greet and assist visitors, students, parents, and staff in a professional and welcoming manner
    • Answer phones, route calls, take messages, and provide accurate information
    • Maintain visitor sign-in logs and issue visitor passes in accordance with district safety procedures
    Student & Parent Support
    • Assist with student check-in/check-out and early dismissals
    • Support parents with general questions and direct concerns to appropriate staff
    • Assist substitute teachers with sign-in and campus procedures as needed
    Clerical & Office Support
    • Perform clerical tasks including filing, copying, data entry, and document distribution
    • Receive, sort, and distribute campus mail and deliveries
    • Maintain an organized and welcoming front office area
    • Monitor and request office supplies as needed
    Campus Operations
    • Communicate student needs, attendance issues, or safety concerns to administrators
    • Assist with campus events, reporting, and special projects as assigned
    • Support daily campus operations to ensure a smooth school day
