Job description

Step into an exciting opportunity supporting students with diverse learning needs for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position is designed for a dedicated educator with a passion for providing Mild/Moderate Special Education services in a flexible, collaborative setting. You’ll play a key role in empowering students while benefiting from a manageable caseload and strong professional support.

What We're Seeking:

  • Active California Mild/Moderate (M/M) Education Specialist credential (required)
  • Prior experience working with Mild/Moderate caseloads in a school environment
  • Strong familiarity with IEP processes and virtual meeting platforms (such as Zoom)
  • Skill in adapting instruction to meet a variety of student needs and learning styles
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities

Your Impact & Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, individualized instruction and support for K-12 students with mild/moderate disabilities
  • Manage and facilitate all aspects of IEPs—assessment, development, meetings (via Zoom), and progress monitoring
  • Collaborate regularly with families, general educators, and specialists to ensure student growth and achievement
  • Attend weekly PLCs, staff meetings, and monthly SPED meetings as part of a supportive team environment
  • Organize and host a homeroom (frequency flexible), fostering a positive classroom community
  • Balance a hybrid schedule with 1-2 days on-site and the majority of student engagement and paperwork delivered remotely
