Job description

Primary Job Title: Patient Access Representative

Location: West Hollywood, CA

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details:

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Start: As soon as possible
  • Pay Rate: $25.00-$26.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Mid-shift with varying start times as needed (2:00 PM - 3:30 PM)
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary: Patient Access Representatives are responsible for providing patients with a welcoming experience while facilitating patient access to care. The Patient Access Representative performs a variety of Patient Access activities for patients throughout the Medical Center for Inpatient, Outpatient and/or Emergency Services. Patient Access Representatives are cross trained to support roles and responsibilities throughout Patient Access, Scheduling, Pre-Registration, Financial Clearance, Referrals, Authorizations, Financial Counseling, Physician Billing and Patient Arrival & Registration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register approximately 125-150 patients daily in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform data-entry focused work in the registration work area within the lab
  • Facilitate patient's access to care in a welcoming manner
  • Support multiple Patient Access functions including scheduling, pre-registration, financial clearance, referrals, and authorizations
  • Participate in financial counseling and patient arrival and registration activities

Required Skills:

  • PC Knowledge
  • Health insurance knowledge

Preferred Skills:

  • EPIC EHR

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of registration experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
