The Office of the Provost furthers Georgia Tech's academic mission, learning through teaching and research, by providing the leadership, support, and services that enable the personal and intellectual growth of students, faculty, staff, and the academic community. As the Institute's chief academic office, the Office of the Provost oversees academic policy, strategic initiatives, academic planning, faculty affairs, student success, and the stewardship of the Institute's academic enterprise.

The Office of the Provost partners with colleges, schools, academic and administrative units across Georgia Tech to advance institutional priorities, support academic excellence and innovation, and enhance the effectiveness of teaching, learning, and research. The office leads a wide range of strategic initiatives and provides operational, administrative, and programmatic support to ensure successful implementation of the Institute's academic mission. This position is housed within the Senior Vice Provost for Academic and Business Operations unit, which provides strategic leadership and operational support across key academic and administrative functions within the Office of the Provost.

Coordinate and provide professional and administrative support for targeted programs and/or projects and unit initiatives. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Faculty and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: Faculty and staff. This position will supervise: NA.

Job Duty 1 -
Plan, execute and provide assistance for meeting and event logistics and scheduling
Job Duty 2 -
Establish schedules, oversee arrangements and provide logistics support for targeted programs and/or projects and unit initiatives
Job Duty 3 -
Evaluate, assess and report on the feasibility and sustainability of potential programs, projects and initiatives
Job Duty 4 -
Provide necessary support related to the identification and execution of adopted unit programs/projects and other unit initiatives
Job Duty 5 -
Develop, arrange/coordinate meetings and project materials for distribution, as necessary
Job Duty 6 -
Compile, organize and analyze data for use in reports for targeted programs/projects and other unit initiatives
Job Duty 7 -
Monitor and update appropriate stakeholders of progress/milestones for program/project objectives
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Three to five years job related experience

Preferred Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Experience

• Three to five years of advanced experience in general office administration, including budget administration, unit-level procurement processing, document production and management, records management, event management, problem-solving, and office organization.
• Advanced skills in the use of office and financial-related computer applications.
• Experience with executive calendar management, meeting and event coordination, and operational support for senior leaders or executive-level offices.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.

SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and organization skills. The ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and/or within a team environment.

Pay Range Starting At: $49,308.00/yr up to $67,059.00/yr

Provide specialized administrative and operational support to the Office of the Provost (OOTP), contributing to the advancement of Georgia Tech's academic mission, strategic priorities, and institutional effectiveness. The position is responsible for executive calendar management and scheduling support for the Senior Vice Provost, coordination of leadership meetings and planning activities, and operational coordination for Office of the Provost priorities, initiatives, and events.
