About Academic Success & Advising (ASA):
Academic Success and Advising (ASA), a unit of the Office of Undergraduate Education and Student Success (OUESS), provides campuswide leadership in undergraduate advising, academic support, and academic planning at Georgia Tech. ASA integrates a broad range of student-centered services, including success coaching, tutoring, study sessions, academic success programs, subject-specific academic assistance, exploratory advising, and targeted support for prestigious fellowships, pre-graduate, and pre-health pathways, into a coordinated and comprehensive academic support network. The position reports to the Administrative Manager II in Academic Success and Advising (ASA), a unit within the Office of Undergraduate Education and Student Success (OUESS).
Note on Working Time
This position must be available to work standard GT business hours M-F, 8-5 (or 7-4 or 9-6), as well as some evenings as weekends based on student programs and with advanced notice. We are looking for hardworking professionals who are dedicated to undergraduate education and make students the top priority to join our organization of talented, energetic, and creative team members.
Job SummaryProvide high level, specialized administrative services within a campus unit, usually in direct support of unit management. Position usually encompasses organization of office services within area including coordinating calendars, meetings and events, budget administration, procurement and report preparation. May provide work coordination and supervision to lower level administrative personnel within the unit. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit management and staff, vendors and office visitors. This position typically will advise and counsel: administrative staff . This position may supervise lower level administrative staff.
ResponsibilitiesJob Duty 1 -
Prepare and manage department budget; generate associated reports

Coordinate Payroll and HR related functions (time-keeping, PSFs, paperwork processing, etc.)

Coordinate unit purchasing process; track and manage purchasing activities

Originate and process correspondence, reports and other documentation

Compile, organize and analyze data for use in reports; develop and maintain databases and records management systems

Plan meetings and other events to include scheduling, reservations, arrangements, etc.

Review and resolve complex administrative related questions and issues; recommend new or revised unit administrative procedures

Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma

Project Management Professional (PMP)
Preferred Education;
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Higher Education, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience supporting administrative operations in a higher education or similarly complex environment.
- Demonstrated ability to organize multiple projects, provide exceptional customer service, and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity in OneUSG Connect and/or student related hiring.
Proposed Salary
Job Grade: A6
Salary Range: $42,797 - $58,205 annual. Salary will be commensurate with experience and education.

This job requires advanced skills in general office administration to include budget administration, unit level procurement processing, document production and management, records management, event management, problem solving and office organization. Skill in use of advanced office and financial related computer applications is required.
Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of administrative operations, meeting and event planning, records management, procurement, and financial processes.
- Proficiency in Workday, including procurement, supplier management, expense reporting, and financial transactions.
