Job description

At Frontier Cooperative, we believe agriculture is more than a business, it's a way of life. As an agricultural leader serving Nebraska's farming communities, we provide a comprehensive range of grain, agronomy, feed, and energy products and services. But what sets us apart is how we do it: with integrity, with quality, and with a deep commitment to the communities we're proud to call home. We're looking for people who share those values and want to grow with us.
What you'll do:
Grain operations
  • Operate weigh scales, grain probes, elevator legs, conveyors, distributors, and dust collectors
  • Examine grain samples for moisture, contamination, and overall quality
  • Load and unload grain trucks and rail cars; monitor grain flow and bin capacity
  • Maintain grain quality during storage by managing aeration fans and monitoring for mold or insects
  • Move or blend grain as needed to address quality issues
  • Sweep bins and clean boot-pits regularly to meet OSHA standards
  • Assemble and dismantle flat grain storage structures including bunkers and aeration tubes
  • Operate augers and skid-steer loaders to move grain in and out of flat storage

Equipment maintenance
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, machinery, and elevator equipment
  • Change oil and filters; fix tires; replace bearings, brakes, belts, bulbs, fuses, wipers, and hydraulic hoses
  • Perform preventive maintenance on dryer fans and elevator structures
  • Keep all equipment clean inside and out to promote safety and a positive company image

Customer service & retail
  • Greet customers promptly, listen to their needs, and resolve issues or escalate to a supervisor
  • Assist customers loading products and secure loads for safe transit
  • Stock and rotate shelves, maintain proper product storage, and assist with inventory counts

Grounds & facility
  • Mow, weed whip, spray weeds, remove snow, and grade rocked driveways
  • Follow all company safety standards and comply with OSHA, state, and federal regulations

What we are looking for:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; agriculture-related background preferred
  • 2+ years of agricultural experience preferred
  • Ability to operate elevators, scales, skid-steer, auger, forklift, track mobile, and farm tractors
  • Strong customer service and basic math skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations

Why join us? Full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, finances, and future.
  • Paycheck for life: Cooperative pension plan, plus 401(k) with traditional and Roth options
  • Comprehensive health coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, supplemental plans, and FSA/HSA spending accounts
  • Paid time off: Vacation and sick leave to rest and recharge
  • Uniform & boot allowances: Annual allowances so you're always equipped and ready
  • 360 Wellness Program: Whole-person wellness with real incentives
  • Sign-on & referral bonuses: Get rewarded for joining and for bringing great people with you
