Job description

Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction
Location: Greater Boston Area
Pay: $160,000 - $200,000 + Annual bonus and Full Benefits package

Our client is a highly respected General Contractor known for delivering complex commercial construction projects across the Greater Boston market. With a strong reputation for quality, collaboration, and long-term client relationships, they have built a culture centered around teamwork, integrity, and investing in their people. Their project portfolio includes large-scale, high-profile work requiring sophisticated coordination, technical expertise, and strong leadership.

They are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager who can lead large and complex projects while acting as a trusted partner to clients, ownership groups, architects, and internal teams. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing project execution from preconstruction through closeout while helping mentor and support project teams along the way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage all aspects of project-related cost control and financial performance
  • Lead communication surrounding change orders, schedules, contracts, and project updates
  • Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to maintain milestone schedules
  • Oversee value engineering initiatives and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Partner closely with field teams, ownership, and design teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Proactively manage staffing needs and workload distribution across projects
  • Track subcontractor agreements, insurance requirements, and project documentation
  • Support and promote company-wide safety initiatives and best practices
  • Keep senior leadership informed on project progress, risks, and overall performance


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Strong experience managing large, high-risk, or multiple concurrent projects
  • Broad understanding of estimating, preconstruction, field operations, scheduling, and project financials
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Thorough understanding of MEP systems and complex building structures
  • Experience with Primavera, MS Project, document management software, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
