About the role
The Orange Drug & Alcohol team are seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Drug & Alcohol Liaison to join their team.
The purpose of the position is to provide expert clinical organisation, coordination, leadership and consultancy services within the area of nursing specialty across service groups, target populations and health care professionals within the Western NSW Local Health District.
Utilising your case management and counselling skills your role will consist of completing assessments, developing treatment plans, report writing, advocacy skills, case management skills, counselling skills, knowledge of trauma informed care, interpersonal skills, cultural competence, self-care and an active listener. Your knowledge of trauma informed care, cultural competence and active listening skills will ensure the best evidence-based treatment to our clients. You will also liaise with service partners, General Practitioners and other health care providers scheduling follow up appointments and collating reports for the case management.
