Job Title: Material Handling Operator
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Duration: 12 months
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Material Handling Operator to join our fast-paced bottle manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating material handling equipment to move, stage, load/unload raw materials and finished products, and maintain inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate has experience with forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems to move materials and products.
Load and unload trailers and staging areas safely and efficiently.
Supply production lines with bottles, caps, packaging materials, and raw components.
Monitor and operate automated material handling systems.
Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP or warehouse management systems.
Perform regular safety inspections of equipment and report any issues.
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory processes.
Ensure materials are correctly labeled and stored according to safety guidelines.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and in compliance with 5S and safety standards.
Support cross-functional teams and assist with production needs as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
1+ years of experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environment (preferably in packaging or bottling).
Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification upon hire).
Comfortable using RF scanners, basic computer systems, or ERP/WMS software.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working on your feet for long periods.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as needed.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced manufacturing facility with temperature fluctuations.
Exposure to loud machinery and moving equipment.
Requires use of PPE: safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, and high-visibility vests.
