EdAdvance Part Time-Per Diem Physical Therapist

EdAdvance is one of Connecticut's six Regional Educational Service Centers (RESCs). Mission EdAdvance, exists to promote the success of school districts and their communities. EdAdvance is redefining what a Regional Education Service Center can be using a systemic approach grounded in the "3C's", Connection Culture, and Customization. Focused on local and regional priorities, we are reinvesting the expertise, energy, and resources of the agency to amplify the benefit of our constituents.

EdAdvance is seeking a Part Time-Per Diem Physical Therapist for the Birth to Three Department. The qualified candidate will be professional, organized, and able to work independently.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Home visitation with infants, toddlers, and their families
  • Assist families with the implementation of strategies to enhance the development of their child
  • Develop IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) with families
  • Provide service coordination to families
  • Assist child with the transition to preschool programming
  • Work in trans-disciplinary team of Early Childhood professionals
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Ability to develop effective relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • CT DPH Licensed/Certified Physical Therapist
  • Experience with infants, toddlers, and families
  • Service Coordination training (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent organizational skills and computer literacy

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling and therapeutic holding as required
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodations

Travel:

  • Travel required within the Torrington area. Must have reliable transportation, have a driver's license, and car insurance.
