    Job Description

    Eataly Caffe Team Members serve as brand ambassadors, embodying Eataly's core values of hospitality and exceptional quality. Team members skillfully craft and serve a variety of specialty hot and cold beverages, following Eataly's recipes while also accommodating guests' special requests. Team members work across all areas of the operation in both back-of-house and front-of-house. In addition to beverage preparation, team members are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and 
    upholding health and safety standards. Eataly Caffe Team Members prepare food items following Eataly's recipes and high standards, ensuring an exceptional experience for every guest.

    • Provides guests with outstanding service and in-depth knowledge of specialty products. 
    • Greets, guides, and assists guests throughout their experience at Eataly Caffe. 
    • Prepares and serves authentic Italian espresso across multiple counters, including coffee/cafe drinks and prepared food.
    • Seamlessly collaborates with other team members, fulfilling duties across all sections of the Caffe, including back-of-house and front-of-house areas.
    • Masters product knowledge and storytelling to answer questions about our menu and products, offering guidance on allergens and ingredient information.
    • Maintains Eataly Caffe standards of guest service, presenting a hospitable and professional demeanor during all levels of business volume 
    • Ensures the Caffe remains clean and organized at all times in both guest and employee areas through assigned cleaning duties, such as: bathroom checks and table maintenance, washing dishes and equipment, cleaning prep and service stations, and stocking guest and employee areas.
    • Receiving retail and product orders. Unloading, organizing, and stocking deliveries; recording information; communicating shortages, discrepancies, and expired or damaged products.
    • Sets up stations and replenishes displays neatly including separation of allergens (nuts, wheat, etc.)
    • Operates the Point of Sales (POS) system ensuring accuracy of cash drops and authenticity of bills.
    • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
    Qualifications
    • Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea and drink preparation and product
    • Outstanding communication and guest service skills
    • Ability to follow recipe and execute tasks according to standard
    • Ability to follow DOH / Company Regulations
    • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow directions for all production
    • 1+ year barista experience on a manual espresso machine preferred

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including early mornings, evenings and weekends
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
    • Ability to operate equipment such as manual espresso machine, ovens, drink blender, juicer and Point of Sale
    • Dexterity for rapid repeated movements

    Compensation: The hourly compensation for this role is $17-$18 per hour + tips
