Job Title

Program Support Assistant

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains timekeeping files, documentation, and audit materials in accordance with VA policy.
  • Initiates and prepares procurement requests, verifies supporting documentation, and tracks actions through completion.
  • Supports contracting activities by gathering requirements, drafting supporting documentation, and maintaining procurement records.
  • Assists with small purchases by conducting market research, comparing cost information, and preparing justifications as needed.
  • Reviews and processes purchase orders for supplies and non-expendable equipment essential to service operations.
  • Maintains electronic and hard-copy filing systems, ensuring documents, records, and correspondence are complete, accurate, and accessible.
  • Responds to routine inquiries from employees and supervisors, gathering necessary information and routing issues to the appropriate staff.
  • Monitors the status of administrative actions and follows up to ensure timely completion and communication to stakeholders.
  • Uses office software, databases, and automated systems to enter, track, and retrieve administrative and program information.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30 pm
