Job description
In short, as a Real Estate Associate, you support the expansion and optimization of one of the largest automotive real estate portfolios in the U.S. This role is responsible for national real estate acquisitions and portfolio strategy across retail, industrial, and office assets supporting a $4.0B+ annual revenue business and 200+ locations nationwide.
In long, our Real Estate Associate is responsible for:- Support daily execution for new store growth, relocations, expansions, and dispositions across retail, industrial, and office assets.
- Execute end-to-end real estate transactions including market analysis, site selection, negotiations, and due diligence activities.
- Manage active pipelines of LOIs, leases, and purchase agreements in partnership with internal and external legal counsel.
- Assist with lease renewals and portfolio optimization across 200+ properties.
- Perform financial analysis and deal underwriting to evaluate risks, returns, and overall deal viability.
- Support site selection and profitability modeling using internal financial models, demographic data, market analytics platforms, and GIS mapping tools.
- Prepare and present deal approval packages for acquisitions, relocations, expansions, subleases, and dispositions.
- Build and manage relationships with brokers, landlords, developers, attorneys, and municipal officials nationwide.
- Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders and legal teams to ensure timely transaction execution.
- Coordinate and assist with due diligence activities including environmental, zoning, title, survey, and construction feasibility.
- Support entitlement processes by securing necessary resources for zoning approvals, use permits, and variances.

- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Travel up to 25-35% per month.
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate acquisitions.
- Experience supporting multi-site national retailers or operators.
- Proven success negotiating leases and purchase agreements across multiple states.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and executive presentation skills.
- Proficiency with real estate analytics platforms and GIS tools.
Proven self‑starter with consistent execution results.
