Job description
We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Potwasher to join our growing New York Team!
About DO & CO
We have a passion for hospitality culinary delights on every banquet floor and in the sky. With the three business segments of Airline Catering, International Event Catering, and Restaurants, Lounges & Hotels, we offer gourmet entertainment all over the world. We operate in 33 locations, 12 countries and 3 Continents, maintaining the highest standard of quality in both our products and services. We refine the classics, develop the unknown and grow constantly – sometimes beyond our own expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate large electric machines, including dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
- Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces as assigned.
- Sort and dispose of trash and garbage in designated containers; steam clean or hose garbage cans in assigned areas.
- Transport supplies and equipment between storage and work areas while adhering to safe lifting standards.
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and delivery of supplies and products.
- Maintain compliance with all sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards outlined by company policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant industry or similar role.
- Highly proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with experience in fast-paced environments.
- Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proven track record of completing tasks within tight deadlines.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work; days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations and procedures is an advantage.
