- Role Details:
We are seeking a highly skilled Linux SMR to deploy and manage our NVIDIA servers hosted on Azure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Linux Ubuntu OS 22.04 or higher, focusing on AI projects. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain NVIDIA servers on Azure.
Install, maintain and update drivers for Ubuntu OS.
Manage the security patching updates for these servers periodically
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
Monitor and optimize server performance and resource utilization.
Enable resource management using tools like SLURM (Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management)
Deploy and configure pre-requisite software components such as Python, Jupyter Lab, Docker, and NVIDIA toolkits etc.
Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues.
Collaborate with vendor & other development teams as required for fixing any issues
Collaborate with AI project teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of AI models.
Install and configure Kubernetes on Linux or manage AKS for deploying AI models and creating endpoints.
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Skill Sets Required:
Linux OS Management:
Proficiency in Linux Ubuntu OS 22.04 or higher (x86).
Strong understanding of system administration, including user management, file systems, resource management and networking.
Experience with shell scripting and automation tools.
Additional Tools and Components:
Expertise in deploying and managing Python, Jupyter Lab (latest version), and core Jupyter packages.
Knowledge of NVIDIA toolkits and NVIDIA drivers for Ubuntu OS, including NVIDIA vGPU Driver and NVIDIA Container Toolkit.
Additionally, there would be NIMS (NVIDIA Inference Micro Services) which needs to be deployed and managed in these servers
SLURM (Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management) for managing the resources within the Linux servers
Hands-on experience installing and managing Docker.
Familiarity with Azure CLI (latest version) and command line version of Ubuntu version
Experience with Miniconda for managing Python environments.
Proficiency with Git, Python3, and installing related packages
Good to have skills
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes installation and configuration on Ubuntu Linux.
Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for deploying models , managing pods, and deploying endpoints etc.
Experience with other NVIDIA components (e.g., RAPIDS, Triton Server, CUDA, cuDNN) is an advantage.
