Direct Counsel is partnering with a globally respected AmLaw firm to expand its Structured Transactions Practice Group. This is a rare opportunity for junior, mid-level, or senior attorneys (including Of Counsel) to join a sophisticated, high-volume transactional team handling some of the most complex and innovative financing matters in the market.

If you enjoy technically challenging work, marquee clients, and the chance to deepen your expertise in structured finance within a top-tier platform, this role is worth a closer look.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

You’ll work alongside nationally recognized partners on cutting-edge transactions across capital markets and structured finance—while gaining exposure that meaningfully accelerates your career at any stage.

Practice highlights include:

• Structured finance and securitization matters
• RMBS, ABS, CLOs, and complex financing transactions
• High-profile domestic and cross-border deals
• Deep bench of mentors and collaborative deal teams

This role is open in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, or Washington, D.C., offering geographic flexibility without sacrificing deal quality.

Who They’re Looking For

• Junior, mid-level, or senior associates—or Of Counsel
• Law firm experience in corporate and/or finance transactions
• Exposure to structured finance or securitization preferred (not required)
• Experience with RMBS, ABS, CLOs, or financing transactions a plus
• Excellent academic credentials and strong technical skills
• Active bar membership in the applicable office jurisdiction

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $225,000 – $435,000+ (commensurate with experience)
• Competitive bonus structure
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, financial, and wellness offerings
• 401(k) eligibility and generous paid time off, including parental leave

This is a chance to step into a top-tier structured transactions platform where the work is sophisticated, the clients are market-leading, and your growth is taken seriously—whether you’re building your practice or looking to deepen your niche at a senior level.
