Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for all indirect categories, including MRO, facility management, professional services, IT equipment/software, office supplies, and other non-production items.

  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and select suppliers to secure the highest value in terms of cost, quality, service, and compliance with Dexter Axle’s standards and requirements.

  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure reliable delivery, performance reporting, and resolution of service or quality issues.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (maintenance, operations, IT, finance, HR, etc.) to understand business needs and tailor procurement solutions that align with organizational objectives.

  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable pricing, terms, and risk-mitigation measures.

  • Drive cost savings initiatives through spend analysis, market intelligence, process optimization, and continuous improvement projects.

  • Monitor industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities, risks, and innovative solutions for indirect sourcing.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, safety regulations, and ethical standards throughout the procurement process.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of sourcing activities, contracts, and supplier information.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier metrics to management.

  • Utilize procurement technologies and tools (e.g., ERP, e-sourcing platforms, spend analytics) to streamline sourcing activities and reporting.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in indirect procurement or sourcing management within manufacturing or industrial sectors.

  • Demonstrated success in contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost optimization.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • Proficiency with procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, etc.) and Excel/data analysis tools.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities across internal functions and with external suppliers.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of industry best practices in indirect procurement, compliance, and continuous improvement.
