Job description

DCS Air & Space Technology (AST) Sector is looking for a Senior Integration Engineer to join our fast-paced digital engineering team. If you enjoy building secure and reliable computing solutions and want to support important national security projects, this role puts you at the center of new technology and system analysis. At DCS—an employee-owned company known for innovative solutions in Defense, Aerospace, Human Factors, and Security—you’ll help create the computing systems that power advanced analysis from day one.

In this role, you’ll support leading defense research and development, working with experts in modeling, simulation, and systems engineering. You’ll design and set up computing systems and workflows that make sure models, tools, and resources work together safely and efficiently for the Department of Defense. Your work will help improve decisions about new technologies and keep complex systems strong, reliable, and well-organized.

Essential Job Functions:

As a Senior Integration Engineer, you could expect to:

Develop and organize systems to manage engineering data for design initiatives.

Establish and oversee data and tool management for geographically dispersed teams, ensuring secure and efficient information sharing.

Leverage modern computing technologies (such as cloud and high-performance computing) to enhance collaborative design workflows.

Implement and maintain secure development and operational processes for software and model creation.

Facilitate collaboration and technical integration across multidisciplinary teams.

Contribute to planning and execution of demonstrations that integrate multiple technology solutions.

Document technical methods and procedures to support program requirements and knowledge transfer.

Provide technical support and optimize computing systems to ensure smooth and effective project operations.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must have an active Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance.

At least a BS degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline and at least 8 years of related experience.

Proficiency in modern software development and programming languages (such as C, C++, Python, or Java).

Experience with architecting, building, and deploying secure computing systems and workflows, including cloud-based environments.

Ability to support integration, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of computer systems, networks, and research components.

Knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile practices and test-driven development.

Strong understanding of system engineering principles, including requirements analysis, system design, and technical documentation.

Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and documenting technical procedures.

Ability to travel, as required.

Desired Skills:

MS in engineering, science, mathematics, or related technical discipline.

Active Top Secret security clearance or higher.

Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards relevant to Department of Defense environments.

Experience building micro-services and REST APIs, with a focus on security and using CI/CD tools.

Experience leading and working in Agile teams, including roles like Scrum Master or Product Owner, and using tools like MS TFS, Confluence, and Jira.
