Dining Supervisor

This is a temp-to-hire position, not a 2-month assignment.
Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Supports the execution of the university's culinary experience, assists with food preparation, and maintains cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas. Ensures food quality and presentation meet established standards while contributing to hospitality and dining services. Maintains sanitation protocols and assists with stocking and organizing supplies. Collaborates with dietitians, chefs, and other team members to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and customer service standards for students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Washes and prepares various foods for cooking or serving
Follows all established quality control, portioning, and customer service standards
Provides excellent service in a friendly, sincere, and courteous manner
Cleans dishware, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand
Ensures proper sorting and storage of dishware, flatware, trays, utensils, or cooking equipment
Receives and stores supplies
Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards
Other duties as assigned
 
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of food service production and service techniques and standards
Knowledge of food sanitation and safety standards and protocols
Skill in time management, organization, and multi-tasking in high volume environments
Skill in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
Ability to obtain food safety/sanitation certifications required of the position
 
Minimum Education & Experience
High School diploma or GED
3 years of related experience
Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
 
Job Level Overview
Operations, Administrative, Service, or Technical Support Level 3 - Senior level role with considerable knowledge and skills. Performs complex tasks and project work. Work is typically not routine and requires troubleshooting and analysis. Mentors or guides less experienced staff.

Current Anticipated Hours/Work Location: 
Location:  The Commons
Work Schedule: Fri 12:30pm-11pm, Sat/Sun 11:30am-10pm, Mon 12:30pm-11pm, Tue/Wed/Thurs OFF
Work schedule may need to fluctuate based on University-wide events, and academic breaks.
