Job description
- Machine Design: Designs a complete and complex framework, sub-system, system or product.
- Defines processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
- Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses.
- Cross functional interaction to create block diagrams, system safety strategies, and identify component requirements for software developers.
- Participate and coordinate in design reviews, including FMEA and Fault Tree Analysis.
- Provides Subsystem design, documentation (schematics and assembly drawings), and packaging of sub-assemblies.
- Manages design and drafting staff for engineering projects, monitoring schedules and budgets.
- stakeholder management from marketing to supplier
- Creates design project proposal, planning, man power calculation
- 10+ years in design & development of capital equipment, preferably Semiconductor
- Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of mechanical system design engineer experience; or Master's Degree with 2 years of mechanical system design engineer experience. Degrees in mechanical, or systems engineering preferred.
- Experience in High Vacuum components and clean room procedures.
- Experience in gas and liquid fluid handling systems: piping, valves, flow control and measurement.
- Experience in High Voltage components and applications.
- Works with Pneumatic and cooling system components and controls.
- Familiar with National Electric Code (NEC), ISO procedures, and Lockout/Tagout requirements.
- Familiar with SEMI S2-0200, SEMI S8-0600, and CE certification.
- General working knowledge of 3D CAD design tools. CREO and or Solid Works
- Experience using engineering analysis tools (FEA, CFD etc) in the design process given strong consideration
- Engineering change management, PLM experience added advantage.
