Senior Full Stack Software Engineer
About the Opportunity:
Our team has partnered with a SaaS company focused on improving transportation safety and efficiency to identify a "Senior Full Stack Software Engineer" to join their team. This is a Microsoft shop, emphasizing a strong background in .NET/C#, Azure, React, TypeScript, SQL Server, JavaScript, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Domain-Driven Design, and solid object-oriented engineering principles.
We have openings for both backend leaning and frontend leaning full stack engineers.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, enjoys mentoring other engineers, and contributes meaningfully to technical strategy and architectural direction while valuing clean, well-structured code and architecture. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape systems end-to-end while influencing engineering best practices across the organization and
Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 (depending on experience) + full benefits (medical/dental/vision/401k match + more)
Location: 100%Remote (PST/MST timezone)
Responsibilities:
Backend Engineering & API Development
  • Design and implement scalable backend services using .NET Core and C# with a focus on reliability and maintainability.
  • Develop and enhance REST-based APIs, incorporating best practices around authentication, versioning, pagination, and performance optimization.
  • Maintain strong testing standards using frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit to ensure code quality and system stability.
  • Deploy and support services in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS, leveraging containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.

Frontend Development
  • Build and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React, TypeScript, TailwindCSS, and modern state management tools.
  • Ensure consistent UI behavior and performance across browsers and devices.
  • Partner closely with product and design teams to translate requirements into intuitive and polished user experiences.

Architecture & Technical Leadership
  • Contribute to architectural planning and long-term technical direction.
  • Design scalable systems from concept to deployment, thoughtfully balancing trade-offs in performance and maintainability.
  • Continuously enhance system reliability, scalability, and observability through monitoring and performance tuning initiatives.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers to elevate team capability.
  • Lead peer code reviews and champion high engineering standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define and implement technical solutions aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial full stack development
  • Advanced expertise in .NET Core and C#, particularly in building and optimizing APIs
  • Hands-on experience developing modern front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS (or comparable frameworks)
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including data modeling best practices
  • Demonstrated commitment to automated testing and backend quality assurance
  • Experience deploying applications in cloud environments and working with containerized services
  • Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing tools
  • Proven experience mentoring engineers and contributing to a culture of technical excellence

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to domain-driven design, clean architecture principles, or microservices-based systems
  • Experience working with GraphQL or advanced API design patterns
  • Familiarity with non-relational databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Cosmos DB
  • Hands-on experience with serverless technologies, API gateways, CI/CD pipelines, and event-driven messaging systems
  • Experience developing distributed systems using messaging frameworks
