    Job description

    Curtiss-Wright is seeking a highly motivated Facilities & Safety Supervisor to join our Peerless Instrument facility in East Farmingdale, NY! This business unit focuses on electronic assemblies, systems and software for the US military including advanced instrumentation and control systems used in Naval applications.
    Facility Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the facility maintenance functions that may include building/facility maintenance, repairs, replacements and/or warehouse duties on structural, mechanical, electrical, HVAC and sanitary systems and related equipment and machinery.
    The Supervisor will also be responsible for Curtiss-Wright's Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) program at the Peerless site. This person will work with a cross-functional team to lead coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, facilities modifications and expansion, as well as ensuring the site meets all EHS and OSHA standards.
    Salary Information: $84,000 - $95,000

    Your Challenge:
    • Supervise facility personnel. Leads and oversees facility related projects, including installations, renovations, space planning, preventive maintenance, facility repairs, production or test equipment internal repairs, and upgrades to systems or infrastructure.
    • Provides training and guidance on proper maintenance procedures, equipment usage and safety protocols.
    • Oversees daily facilities operations. Manages preventive and corrective maintenance programs for critical infrastructure including HVAC systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems, plumbing and other equipment and machinery. Ensures facility comply regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
    • Maintains safe working environment enforcing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Includes updating Internal and On-Line data entry for compliance.
    • Manages Equipment and Production equipment calibration with internal resources or third party.
    • Assists in setting/managing facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization. Coordinates procurement of supplies, tools, and services. Monitors and tracks facility operational costs and identifies opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
    • Manages relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized projects and services. Ensures all work performed by contractors meets contractual obligations and company standards.
    • Communicates regularly with senior leadership to provide updates on facility-related issues, improvements and challenges.
    • Leader for EHS related initiatives and requirements such as, Facility GEMBA, Fire Drills, Government reporting (OSHA, EPA), Safety Committee, Safety Equipment and PPE.
    • Responsible for Internal and External EHS and facility reporting.

    Your Expertise:
    • Proven leadership skills.
    • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and maintenance best practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in managing maintenance operations for complex, mission-critical facilities and systems.
