About the RoleComrise is seeking a highly organized and proactive Technical Program Manager (TPM) – Body & Closures to support the physical product development lifecycle for cutting-edge autonomous mobility systems.
In this role, you will partner directly with mechanical engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, validation teams, and external suppliers to keep hardware development programs organized, on schedule, and moving forward seamlessly. Key ResponsibilitiesTimeline & Schedule Management: Build, maintain, and communicate detailed project schedules for body mechanisms, sealing systems, and structural integration programs.
Supplier Coordination: Serve as the primary programmatic interface with external suppliers; manage hardware build plans, track part deliveries, and ensure program milestones are met.
Issue Tracking & Resolution: Maintain issue/bug trackers (e.g., Jira), follow up on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) progress, and lead cross-functional meetings to drive hardware technical issues to closure.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Validation teams to coordinate development activities and track Bill of Materials (BOM) maturity.
CAD & Packaging Investigations: Conduct packaging investigations and manage clash analysis utilizing 3D CAD tools such as CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks.
PLM & Release Management: Manage the formal release of technical datasets and manufacturing drawings through product lifecycle management (PLM) workflows (e.g., 3DEXPERIENCE).
Risk Mitigation: Identify program risks early, remove engineering roadblocks, and communicate program status clearly to key stakeholders.
Experience: 2 to 4+ years of experience in Technical Program Management (TPM), Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
Domain Knowledge: Direct exposure to physical product development lifecycles (Design, Sourcing, Validation, Build)—ideally within automotive, robotics, aerospace, or consumer electronics.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
Tool Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience using project management and tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or MS Project.
CAD & PLM Familiarity: Basic familiarity with 3D CAD software (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks) and formal PLM systems (e.g., 3DEXPERIENCE).
Automotive Hardware Understanding: Familiarity with automotive body systems (latches, hinges, actuators, sealing) or related manufacturing processes.
A strong passion for autonomous technology, robotics, and next-generation mobility systems.
