Job description

Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection team in Philadelphia, PA!
Join our Infrastructure team and build your career alongside the best our industry has to offer. Work with our construction engineering inspection and project management professionals to provide cost-effective solutions to help maintain the integrity of a variety of infrastructures. By joining Colliers Engineering & Design, you will learn, grow, and accelerate YOUR success!
Responsibilities
  • To perform quality control construction observations for roadway and bridge construction, general site work, maintenance and protection of traffic, drainage, earthwork, paving, concrete work, reinforcement steel placement, utility relocation work, coordination, and safety.
  • Able to read contract documents and construction plans.
  • Responsible for construction observation monitoring/tracking of construction sequencing, cost, and performance decisions.
  • Assure that proper document control, quality assurance and project records are kept.
  • Assure quality and uniformity in the record keeping of various contracts.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 5+ years PennDOT related highway/roadway construction inspection experience required (i.e. earthwork, sub base, concrete and asphalt pavement, drainage, lighting, guardrails and pavement markings, signs, maintenance of traffic, etc).
  • Bridge construction inspection experience (rehabilitation & new) is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • CTQP and NICET Certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of PennDOT road specifications.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English to comprehend written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
