    What you'll be doing

    As a Product Lead in the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team, you'll serve as the subject matter expert for all EDM-developed and supported tools. You'll partner with business stakeholders to ideate and develop robust, scalable solutions that address evolving data needs across the organization. Leveraging your expertise in Python, SQL, Databricks, Generative AI, Power Apps, Purview, and data governance, you'll drive the delivery of innovative products and ensure alignment with CIBC's strategic objectives. You'll champion agile delivery concepts, provide technical leadership & mentorship to developers and analysts, foster collaboration within cross-functional teams, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance EDM platforms and processes. Your leadership will help shape a culture of excellence and innovation in data management.

    At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

    How you'll succeed

    • Product Expertise and Leadership - Act as the subject matter expert for EDM-developed and supported tools, guiding product strategy and enhancements.
    • Solution Development - Collaborate with teams to ideate, design, and develop robust, scalable solutions that meet business requirements.
    • Technical Innovation - Apply your knowledge of Python, SQL, Databricks, Generative AI, Power Apps, Purview, and data governance concepts to drive technical excellence.
    • Agile Delivery - Champion Agile methodologies to ensure efficient, iterative product development and delivery.
    • Stakeholder Engagement - Build strong relationships with business partners, communicate progress, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
    • Team Leadership & Mentorship - Support and mentor developers and analysts by providing technical guidance, promoting engineering best practices, and helping drive successful delivery outcomes across multiple initiatives.

    Who you are

    • You have 5+ years of experience in product management or a related field, with a strong track record of delivering impactful data solutions. You bring hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Databricks, Generative AI, Power Apps, Purview, and data governance concepts. You're an experienced technical product leader with a strong balance of hands-on engineering expertise, stakeholder engagement, and team mentorship capabilities. You understand and apply Agile delivery concepts to foster collaboration and drive results.
    • You have a degree/diploma in. Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
    • You are a caring and accountable leader. You're passionate about developing and growing team members abilities. You have experience providing coaching and hands on support to meet team goals.
    • Your influence makes a difference. You know that relationships and networks are essential to success. You inspire outcomes by sharing your expertise.
