Job Summary
Job Title: Multi-Craft Millwright Foreman
Department: Operations
Reports To: General Superintendent/Project Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Summary: At Cherokee Millwright, we are a multi-craft company that focuses on the needs of our customers by providing multi-trades personnel to meet the customer's unique job requests. Therefore, all field employees will be cross-trained in various trades such as millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, civil, etc. The focus of this position will be with hands-on work with the additional oversight of the installation, dismantle, or movement of machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, rigging plans, blueprints, or other drawings by performing the following duties. However, it will not be entirely set to this specific skillset.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel.
2. Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
3. Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of job site to ensure adequate working conditions.
4. Examine objects, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
5. Reports accidents, near misses, and injuries to office supervision and actively cooperates with investigations.
6. Compile operational and personnel data, such as time worked, jobs worked, inventory data, equipment used, repair and maintenance information.
7. Reports to office supervision concerns with employees' work-related issues and provides mentoring to employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
8. Conduct on the job training or arrange for worker training in safety or equipment use.
9. Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
10. Dismantles machines.
11. Moves machinery and equipment, using hoist, dollies, rollers, airbags, and fork trucks.
12. Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.
13. Constructs foundation for machines; insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.
14. Aligns machines and equipment, using hoist, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
15. Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
16. Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.
17. Uses various hand tools, power tools, torches, and welders.
18. Operates Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, and Boom Lifts.
19. Additional skills in other crafts will be necessary to meet our customers need and will be expected in this role.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily work assignments of a crew of one to 12 employees. Reports out to office supervision the performance of the crew in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints/resolving problems and/or reporting those to office supervision for assistance.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
