Role Overview
The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily field operations on federal and heavy civil construction projects. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards while leading crews and coordinating with subcontractors, project managers, and inspectors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day jobsite activities and personnel
  • Enforce safety standards and compliance with regulations
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment
  • Track project progress and maintain schedules
  • Conduct daily reports and site meetings
  • Communicate with Project Manager and clients on project status
  • Ensure quality workmanship and timely issue resolution

Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in heavy civil or federal construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and safety practices
  • Leadership and communication skills to manage crews and subcontractors
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and schedules
  • Proficiency in daily reporting and documentation
  • Valid driver's license; ability to work outdoors in variable conditions
  • Must pass drug test, background check, and MVR
