Job description

CDR Maguire (CDR|M) is a full-service transportation, planning, design, construction management/construction inspection, and project & program management engineering firm. CDR Maguire is seeking a CEI Senior Project Engineer to provide supervision and engineering/construction management support for projects in District 1 & 7 (Tampa area).

Essential Functions:

  • Direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program.
  • Plans and organizes the work of subordinate and staff members.
  • Develops and/or reviews policies, methods, practices, and procedures.
  • Reviews programs for conformance with Department standards

Requirements

  • Civil Engineering degree
  • P.E. license in the state of Florida (or if registered in another state, ability to obtain registration in the State of Florida within initial six months of employment).
  • Prior relevant work experience in the Tampa or Orlando area (required).
  • Five (5) years of Senior Project Engineer experience (required) with an overall ten (10) years of related engineering experience (preferred).
  • Minimum of two (2) of the years of related experience must be in major road or bridge construction and five (5) years in major bridge construction.
  • For non-degreed personnel the aforementioned registration and ten (10) years of engineering experience (two (2) years of which are in major road or bridge construction).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing.
  • Must have the following:
    • Qualifications: Attend the CTQP Quality Control Manager course and pass the examination.
    • Certifications: FDOT Advanced MOT
