Applications Engineer | Portage, MI

Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define application requirements for manufacturing processes.
• Design, develop, and test software applications for controlling and monitoring manufacturing equipment.

• Document application specifications, test plans, and user manuals.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales, or field support within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial control systems.
• Proven ability to interpret technical specifications, CAD drawings, and customer requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative technical solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver technical presentations and conduct product demonstrations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Enovia)
• Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD)
• Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems (e.g., PLCs, SCADA)
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
