Responsibilities
- Responsible for the washing, drying, folding, ironing and storing of linens for the laundry.
- Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, iron and store linens according to established procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance on the laundry equipment; includes cleaning dryer traps and greasing flat ironer.
- Maintain production levels according to level of room occupancy.
- Assist vendors who, as part of their service, perform inspections and tests of cleaning agents and operations.
- Handle cleaning products in a safe manner.
- Maintains daily worksheets.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Count & process reclaimed items.
- Weigh & count all received linen.
- Keep accurate counts of delivered and received linen counts from all receiving departments.
- This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty.
Requirements
- No formal education required.
- One year experience as a washer/folder/sorter is helpful.
- Knowledge of operating laundry equipment a plus.
