Work Environment

This role operates entirely in a telehealth setting, allowing you to connect with patients from the comfort of your home. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms, identifying severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder manifestations.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, aspirations, and therapeutic goals.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) effectively to address mood disorders.
  • Provide ongoing education and emotional support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment strategies, and techniques for self-care.
  • Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and medical professionals to guarantee holistic care that integrates both therapeutic and medical approaches.
  • Keep abreast of the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic practices and patient outcomes.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment updates, adhering to strict legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Partake in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development initiatives to refine clinical skills and stay aligned with best practices.
  • Act as a strong advocate for clients, working to destigmatize mood disorders and raising awareness of mental health needs within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Telehealth Clinical Mental Health Therapist will work with a diverse population, primarily focusing on individuals diagnosed with mood disorders. This includes adults grappling with various manifestations of depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. The therapist will provide tailored support and interventions to meet the unique challenges faced by each client, fostering an inclusive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Nevada.
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology and ability to coordinate care effectively with psychiatrists.
  • Exceptional communication skills to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of mental health literacy.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • A proven track record of achieving successful outcomes in treating mood disorders will be highly regarded.
