    Job description

    Job Description:

    Ability to become certified on and operate all log yard equipment, which includes log sorting shovel, dump trucks, self-loading log transfer trucks. Requires a Class a CDL license and the ability to obtain a Boise Truck Driving Certification. Position responsibilities may include but not limited to set up, tear down, operation and maintenance of log yard sprinkler system as well as log yard/haul road dust abatement and snowplowing. Other duties as needed. Position will provide coverage for all Yard Operator shifts as needed for vacations or absences that are 3 days or more in length. Must be able to work additional shifts if requested. Yard Utility performs all composite functions on machinery other than production log handling.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Must possess a valid Class A CDL and pass the contingencies for being on Boise Cascade's vehicle operators list. Must be able to safely and efficiently load lumber and haul it from Arden, WA to Kettle Falls, WA, haul hog fuel, do yard clean up, and utility work as necessary.  Must have a valid forklift license or the ability to obtain one prior to qualification.  Expected to keep work area/vehicle clean and organized at all times.
