Without any cost to taxpayers, these efforts have generated $8.3 billion in tax receipts and returned $20 to the U.S. economy for every dollar spent.**Job Summary**As Brand USA's event portfolio continues to grow in scale and complexity, we are evolving our Event Strategy & Production department, and the Senior Manager of Event Technology & Systems is a cornerstone of that vision. This is a newly reimagined role, purpose-built for someone who is genuinely tech-savvy, marketing-instinctive, and curious about what's possible. This is an ownership position for someone ready to step in and make a meaningful difference from day one.This position is designed to make the Event Strategy & Production department more operationally and technically more self-sufficient, bringing key digital and communications capabilities fully in-house and enabling the team to move faster, with greater creative control and stronger cross-functional collaboration. You will be a true partner: owning the technology and communications side of the department while also getting your hands dirty on-site when it counts.**Essential Functions****The Senior Manager will support the full Brand USA events calendar, such as:*** Travel Week events (U.K. & Europe, India, South America)* Travel Week Canada, B2B trade and media program, Toronto & Montreal* Sales Missions and Road Shows* Sponsored Event Executions: IPW, DI Annual Conference, ESTO, and others* Internal meetings and corporate event support**Event Technology & Systems Ownership*** Own and administer the full Cvent platform, registration builds, event websites, mobile apps, session management, attendee communications, and post-event reporting.* Manage Salesforce CRM integration with event data, ensuring clean, reliable data flow between event registrations and organizational records.* Serve as the department's primary Wrike administrator: build and maintain project templates, set up automations, manage team task boards, and keep every active event on track.* Leverage Claude Projects and other AI tools to organize event knowledge, build reusable briefing frameworks, and create smarter workflows across the event portfolio.* Evaluate and champion new event technology tools, bring recommendations to the Senior Director, and implement approved solutions independently.* Proactively recommend process improvements, anticipate technical challenges before they arise, and respond quickly and decisively when they do.**Event Communications & Engagement*** Own the full event communications calendar: plan, write, build, test, and deploy all attendee-facing emails, exhibitor updates, and delegate communications across the event portfolio.* Use AI tools actively and fluently to draft event copy, generate first cuts of communications, build content outlines, and accelerate turnaround on marketing deliverables.* Work with Trade and PR teams to develop and execute event marketing strategies to drive registration, delegate recruitment, and exhibitor engagement, in coordination with the broader Marketing team.* Write with clarity and brand consistency: website copy, speaker bios, event descriptions, FAQs, logistics guides, and post-event surveys all live in this role.* Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance: open rates, click-throughs, registration conversion, and attendee engagement, and use those insights to improve the next campaign.**On-Site & Operational Support*** Serve as the on-site technology lead at Brand USA events, managing registration systems, troubleshooting Cvent mobile app issues, and ensuring the digital attendee experience runs smoothly from arrival through departure.* Support the Senior Director of Event Operations during on-site execution, stepping into logistics and operational tasks as needed.* Manage on-site badge production, check-in workflows, and attendee data accuracy, at times with in-market DMCs and agencies and at other times independently.* Assist with vendor coordination, run-of-show documentation, and communications support during event week.**Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement*** Work closely with Brand USA's Marketing, Design, IT, and Trade teams as a collaborative partner who brings solutions and a can-do approach to every shared project.* Proactively identify opportunities to reduce manual, repetitive work through automation, smarter templates, and better systems, and follow through on implementing them.* Contribute to post-event debriefs with data, observations, and concrete recommendations for improvement.* May be asked to perform additional duties not listed in the job description as required by business needs.**Additional Responsibilities**Report to work on a regular basis and is available for occasional after-hours emergency calls and projects.**Job Qualifications*** 3+ years of experience in event marketing, event technology, or a closely related field, ideally with exposure to both the marketing and operational sides of events.* Hands-on Cvent administration experience required; you should be able to build a registration site, set up an email campaign, and pull a custom report without help.* Proficiency with Wrike or a comparable project management platform; experience building templates and automations is a strong plus.* Active, daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) for writing, communications, and workflow efficiency.* Strong written communication skills, you write clearly, on-brand, and without needing multiple rounds of editing.* Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM, including event data integration, preferred.* Genuine curiosity about technology: you explore new tools, you read the release notes, you suggest improvements.* Enough operational awareness to be useful on-site, you don't need to be a full meeting planner, but you need to understand how events work and be willing to pitch in.* Strong organizational instincts and the ability to manage multiple workstreams across several active events simultaneously.* Experience in travel, tourism, or destination marketing is a plus.* A dedicated remote work area that is quiet enough for employees to concentrate is required. Must have homeowner’s or renter’s insurance and the ability to comply with company technology, safety, and health requirements.* Ability to travel as required to attend meetings and/or events.
