Job description

Position Overview

Bayfront Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our remote team, providing essential mental health services to clients in need. This full-time position involves working closely with individuals affected by major mental illness and severe emotional disorders, playing a vital role in their recovery journey and overall well-being. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine passion for serving underserved communities and an ability to establish trusting relationships with clients.

About the Organization

At Bayfront Healthcare Center, we are committed to fostering healthier communities through the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered healthcare services. Our mission emphasizes inclusivity, ensuring that care is accessible to individuals regardless of their ability to pay. By thinking globally and acting locally, we aspire to set a benchmark for health centers nationwide, focusing on comprehensive prevention and treatment in medically underserved areas.

Work Environment

The LCSW will operate in a fully remote setting, allowing for flexible work arrangements while maintaining effective communication and collaboration with team members and other healthcare professionals. Our Detox Center is equipped with innovative technologies and supports a culture of continuous learning and development. This position will require utilizing digital health tools and telehealth systems to engage with clients and monitor their progress.

Key Responsibilities

The LCSW in this role will undertake various duties, including but not limited to:

  • Providing clinical assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for clients, ensuring evidence-based practices are utilized.
  • Conducting comprehensive screenings to determine the most appropriate interventions, and referring clients to additional services when necessary.
  • Carrying a caseload of clients, facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address mental health challenges and promote recovery.
  • Monitoring and evaluating clients’ treatment goals, adjusting care plans as needed to meet changing needs.
  • Participating in crisis intervention, offering timely support to clients during emergencies.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery and client outcomes, sharing insights and strategies to maximize effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW will primarily serve a diverse patient population, including individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and demographic backgrounds facing complex mental health issues. This role involves engaging with clients who experience significant barriers to accessing care, understanding their unique challenges, and fostering a supportive environment that empowers them towards recovery. The LCSW will also play a crucial role in educational initiatives that promote mental health awareness within the community.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • A valid and active LCSW license in New York State.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, with a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple caseloads effectively.
  • Proficiency in the use of telehealth technologies and electronic health records to enhance service delivery.
  • A sound understanding of ethical guidelines and professional standards in clinical practice.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience is required, candidates with experience working in addiction treatment settings, particularly within detox or rehabilitation facilities, will be highly regarded. Knowledge of integrated care systems and familiarity with community resources specific to Syracuse and the surrounding areas are essential for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering an annual salary of USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off to support work-life balance.

At Bayfront Healthcare Center, we believe in nurturing talent and providing avenues for professional development. LCSWs are encouraged to pursue additional certifications and continuing education to enhance their skill sets. Opportunities may also arise for leadership roles, specialized program development, or advancement within the organization as we grow and expand our services.
