Position Overview

Bayfront Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a remote capacity. This full-time position calls for a professional who is committed to improving the mental health of clients in underserved communities. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals dealing with significant mental health challenges, ensuring they receive tailored care and support.

About the Organization

At Bayfront Healthcare Center, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their financial status. Our mission is to enhance community health by providing safe, patient-centered services to areas that are medically underserved. Through innovative practices and a commitment to equity, we aim to set a standard for other healthcare organizations to follow. Our workplace fosters an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are welcomed and valued, reinforcing our commitment to our community.

Work Environment

This role is designed to be fully remote, allowing for flexibility while engaging with clients across New York City. Our healthcare model emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, leveraging technology to maintain communication and uphold our high standards of client care. As a remote worker, you will have access to ongoing support and resources to ensure you’re equipped to make a meaningful impact in your client sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and screenings that are evidence-based and sensitive to the developmental needs of clients.
  • Develop and implement integrated care plans tailored to the unique situations of each client, while facilitating access to supportive services.
  • Engage directly with clients facing major mental illnesses or severe emotional disorders, providing therapy in individual, group, and family settings.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance treatment offers, ensuring comprehensive care across various service providers.
  • Maintain case documentation and prepare timely reports to comply with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Provide crisis intervention support when necessary, employing de-escalation techniques and developing appropriate follow-up plans.
  • Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement committees dedicated to optimizing service delivery across the organization.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve come from diverse backgrounds and often face significant barriers to mental health support, including socioeconomic challenges. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Bayfront Healthcare Center, you will engage with individuals experiencing symptoms of serious mental health conditions, requiring acute empathy, understanding, and expertise in conflict resolution and treatment strategies.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • A valid LCSW license in New York state.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Proficiency in conducting crisis assessment and management.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with experience in school settings or who have worked with diverse populations are highly encouraged to apply. Familiarity with integrated care models and electronic health record systems will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 annually based on experience and qualifications. As part of Bayfront Healthcare Center’s commitment to its employees, we provide comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Career Growth Opportunities

Bayfront Healthcare Center supports career advancement for its employees. You will have access to continuing education programs and the chance to participate in organizational committees aimed at service improvement. Opportunities for leadership roles within team projects and initiatives are also available to those who wish to develop management skills.
