    Job description

    Barnes Aerospace has a career opportunity in Business Development as a VP, CRP (Component Repair Programs) & RSP (Revenue Sharing Programs). We are seeking a Vice President with deep understanding of the commercial aerospace, military and IGT industries experienced in opportunity creation and the securing of transformational repair and manufacturing programs with OEMs and other customer segments as appropriate. The targeted opportunities focus on long-term solutions and commercial strategies deployed to capture Life-of-Program Repair and Manufacturing programs supporting Barnes Aerospace strategic direction. The role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Program Management, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure customer commitments are met and growth is profitable and sustainable.
    Key Responsibilities
    Commercial Strategy & Growth
    • In partnership with the Executive Leadership Team, own the CRP/RSP growth strategy, including market segmentation, share-of-wallet expansion, and pursuit prioritization.
    • Develop and execute the annual sales plan, including bookings, revenue, and margin targets; continuously monitor funnel health and drive corrective actions.

    Customer & Market Leadership
    • Serve as executive point of contact for priority CRP/RSP Program Pursuits establishing and leveraging senior level customer relationships; lead negotiations for long-term agreements (LTAs), pricing frameworks, and multi-year packages.
    • Be seen as a Leader and Program Accountable owner through the eyes of the Customer and the Barnes Aerospace internal stakeholders.

    Pipeline, Forecasting & Analytics
    • Implement disciplined pipeline management (i.e., stage gates, win probability, cycle-time metrics); deliver accurate 30/60/90-day forecasts.
    • Analyze market trends (fleet dynamics, industry sector dynamics and publications- Commercial, Military and IGT install base, to identify new product/program introductions and adjacencies.

    Cross-Functional Execution
    • Partner with Engineering and Programs on NPI/NPR (new part) business cases, qualifications, and certifications.
    • Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to align capacity, lead times, and cost roadmaps with customer commitments.
    • Drive commercial excellence (quoting discipline, pricing optimization, terms & conditions, risk reviews).

    Collaborative Leadership
    • Work effectively and collaborate with internal stakeholders and matrixed team to ensure alignment and driving accountability and teamwork to a common goal.
    • Foster a culture of customer advocacy, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.

    Governance & Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to export controls, trade compliance, ethics, and company policies.
    • Act in alignment with our Company values of Velocity, Integrity and Teamwork.

    Qualifications:
    • 10+ years of progressive commercial experience in Aerospace/Military / IGT or closely related turbomachinery sectors (OEM).
    • Proven record of leading complex, multi-year programs and delivering growth with healthy margins.
    • Demonstrated success managing key OEM accounts and sales teams across regions.
    • Strong financial acumen (P&L levers, pricing, contract terms, risk).
    • Excellent executive presence, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Familiarity with turbine engine products and services and the equipment that support them.
    • Fluency with CRM (Salesforce or equivalent) and pipeline governance.
    • Ability to travel 40-60% (domestic and international).

    Education Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or related field/experience. MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
