Job description

Quality Assurance Specialist 
Pay Rate:
$48 per hour, W2
Location: Clarkrange, TN (Monterey) TN
Duration: 4 Month Contract
Work Mode: 50% in office and 50% travelThis position may also travel to Houston. This position requires frequent overnight travel. Travel is reimbursed. 
 
  • We are not looking for Inspectors.
  • QA Specialist is what we are looking for. Good understanding of pipeline and compressor stations for gas and transmissions.
  • Certs are helpful if they have them. Not a requirement.
  • Need is immediate. Backfill.
  • Gas transmissions is something we can consider.
  • Reimbursed pay for the travel/ food/lodging, etc, to go back and forth to Houston and the Monterey, TN.
  • Worker will report to the Manager at the Clarkrange site when traveling as well.
  • 10 hours day. 7 AM start.
  • Fielding calls and reports will get uploaded in SharePoint and then will be reviewed.
  • Interview process: will go over role and responsibilities and candidates understanding of pipeline work. Typically, one round unless we have a lot of candidates to narrow it down.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor processes and procedures within each Construction region.
  • Perform Process Assessments for assigned projects.
  • Assist with the review of contract Exhibits during the RFP and IFC period.
  • Assist with specification revisions to ensure compliance with Company and DOT 192 and 195 regulations.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for technical issues within the Quality Management department.
  • Monitor project investigations and update Construction SharePoint site with specification update notifications.
  • Analyze construction quality related data from various sources.
  • Conduct field Process Assessments and assist with field PHMSA document audits.
  • Lead training for new Quality team members and ensure proper training has been provided to new Construction Quality Personnel.
  • Assist with the approval process for construction contracts at various stages of the contracting process.
  • Develop and maintain documents related to processes, procedures, guidelines, handbooks, work instructions, and departmental presentations.
  • Represent the Quality Management department at industry conferences and report back on meetings.
  • Work cross-functionally with technical groups and participate in construction compliance and administration process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience in the pipeline or facility construction industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable codes and standards to pipeline construction.
  • Minimum of 1 year of field construction experience.
  • Fundamental understanding of quality management principles and project management principles.
Preferred Skills:
  • NACE 1 or Higher, CWI, API 1169, QMS Training, Root Cause Analysis Training.
  • Logical and analytical problem solver with the ability to troubleshoot and understand technical issues.
  • Highly motivated, shows initiative/independence, and driven to make important contributions.
  • Strong attention to detail and fundamental understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Writer.
  • Familiarity with writing SOPs, guidelines, and creating handbooks.
  • Understanding of the contract conformance process and a Phase Project Lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Governing Regulations (API 1104 Latest Edition, Pipeline Safety Regulations 192, 195, etc.).
  • Ability to manage diverse relationships, build effective teams, and seek conflict resolution professionally.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
