Global Financial Firm located in TORONTO, ON has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Technical Program Manager
"This role is currently work-from-home and will move to the office environment after the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted."
You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work
Video/ f2f interviews are required prior to all offers.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner closely with multiple technology owners in area of program expertise to:
o Support execution plans to meet deliverables critical
o Manage and monitor the performance of each system to collaborate and ensure program scope definition is in alignment to business goals
o Ensure consistent implementation of common PMO standards, reporting, and closure process across programs
Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
Manages multiple teams or a functional area (depending on size of business).
Ensures program plans meet business needs as described in the program initiation documents.
Ensures all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities.
Ensures stakeholders understand the program schedule and key milestones.
Ensures program stakeholders receive schedule status regularly.
Ensures funding has been approved for the program.
Ensures all areas of the program are appropriately staffed.
Ensures program commitment from those assigning resources.
Escalates program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.
Qualifications:
Demonstrates consistent track record of having worked as a Program or Project Manager, or working on large, strategic cross-functional projects
Previous program/project management, consulting or technology experience preferred with the ability to create and manage large and complex projects using MS Project
Specific subject matter expertise regarding transformation and program management disciplines and a strong business understanding of the products and services Client offers
General understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions
Track record of managing internal relationships and demonstrated experience in leading sustained change and change management efforts
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively problem solve
Well-developed listening skills and a strong ability to engage at the senior management level
Proficiency in working Confluence, JIRA, SharePoint and PTS-W/PTS 2.0 preferred Articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills, with evidence of working in collaboration across large organizations, including a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues/requests
